Good Friday
March 29 | 6:30PM

On Good Friday, make plans to join us for worship through singing, scripture, the Lord's Supper, and prayer. We will remember the cross of Jesus together. His sacrifice represented the most beautiful exchange... His perfect righteousness for our sin. His healing for our wounds. His death to give us life with Him. Good Friday is good because Sunday is coming.

Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all. - Isaiah 53:4-6

  • Where do I go?

  • What should I wear?

Most people at Mount Vernon dress casually for worship. We believe the important thing to remember is that God is looking at our hearts when we worship Him.
