April 6 | 6:30PM
Join us for worship through singing, scripture, the Lord's Supper, and prayer. We will focus our time together around some of the events of Jesus's final time with his disciples. It was here in the upper room, at the last supper, where Jesus gave his disciples a "new commandment". And, it is from the events on this Thursday before Jesus's death on Good Friday that we get the word "maundy". It means "commandment" or "mandate". Before Jesus went to the cross, He clearly explained His desire for those first disciples and for all of us:
“I give you a new command: Love one another. Just as I have loved you, you are also to love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” - John 13:34-35 CSB

Where do I go?
When you arrive, stop by our First Impressions Table outside the sanctuary doors to receive a free gift. Stopping at this table will give us a moment to thank you for worshipping with us, answer any questions you may have, and allow us to connect and serve you and your family.
What should I wear?
Most people at Mount Vernon dress casually for worship. We believe the important thing to remember is that God is looking at our hearts when we worship Him.
